Who these terms are with

Pithy is run by Lachlan Rocca, PO Box 101, Launceston, Tasmania. ABN 60 297 180 665. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Pithy, and "you" means the business or person engaging us.

The build — $2,200 + GST

The build is a one-off fee of $2,200 + GST. It includes:

• A website for most local businesses: typically Home, Services, Reviews, Contact and Gallery.
• Copy layout, photo placement and a tap-to-call phone number on every page.
• Your Google Business Profile matched to the site.
• The site live on your domain within ten business days of your content being ready.
• Two rounds of revisions before launch.
• $900 of care, included on the first ten builds — see below.

You need to send your content — words, photos, the number that should ring and access to your domain — before the ten business day timeline starts. If content is delayed, the go-live date moves with it.

Care included with the first ten builds

The first ten builds include $900 of care from the day the site goes live — six months of Protect, or about two months of Grow. If your build is one of those ten, there is nothing monthly to pay until that care runs out. If it is not, you choose a plan from launch. The care covers hosting on Australian infrastructure, SSL, daily off-site backups, security monitoring and safe updates, uptime and speed monitoring, the monthly change allowance described below, a one-page health report each month, and emergency response within four business hours.

You are not paying twice: on the first ten builds, the $900 of care is part of the $2,200 + GST build fee.

After your included care — Protect and Grow

After your included care, you choose a care plan, or you can leave. Both plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice, and both are + GST.

Protect — $150/mo + GST. Fast managed hosting on Australian infrastructure, SSL, daily off-site backups, security monitoring and safe updates, uptime and speed monitoring, the monthly change allowance, a one-page health report each month, and emergency response within four business hours.

Grow — $497/mo + GST. Everything in Protect, plus Google Business Profile managed weekly, four Google posts and fresh photos each month, review requests by SMS and email after every job, replies to your reviews drafted and published, local rank tracking across a grid reported monthly, one new local service page each quarter, a one-page plain-English scorecard each month, and a 20-minute strategy call each quarter. Grow replaces Protect — you never pay for both.

If you already have a website, Protect or Grow can start from day one.

The monthly change allowance

Every care plan includes up to one hour of small changes each month. That covers things like changing a phone number, swapping a photo, updating opening hours, adding a price or fixing a typo.

The allowance does not roll over. If you do not use your hour in a given month, it does not carry into the next month or build up into a larger job.

Work beyond the monthly allowance is quoted at $150/hr + GST and we ask you to approve the quote before we start.

Extra work

• Work beyond the monthly change allowance — $150/hr + GST, quoted and approved before it starts. We will not run up a bill you have not agreed to.

What is not included

The build and the care plans do not include online shops, booking databases, membership sites or custom software. They also do not include logo or brand design, email hosting or mailbox support. Third-party integrations are quoted separately.

Advertising is available and is quoted separately. Paid campaigns are quoted per campaign before anything starts, because the work depends on the channels, the budget and how much creative is needed. Advertising spend is paid by you directly to the platform — it is never billed through Pithy, and it is not part of any care plan.

Month-to-month and notice

After your included care you are not locked in. Care plans continue month-to-month, and either of us can end a care plan with 30 days' written notice. If you leave, we hand over and you can host elsewhere.

Ownership

You own your domain and you own the site files. They are in your name, not ours. If you leave, we give you the files and help you move. We keep the right to show the finished site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

No ranking promises, no bought reviews

We do not promise Google rankings. Search results depend on factors outside our control, and anyone who guarantees a position is guessing. We also never buy, gate or filter reviews, and we do not ask you to.

Price reviews

We review our prices once a year. If a price changes for you, you will be told in writing before the change takes effect, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a build before work starts and owe nothing. If work has already started, we agree what has been done and invoice for that part only. Care plans are month-to-month, so cancelling one with 30 days' notice stops the next payment; we do not refund a month already under way.

Liability

We do the work with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with the work is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy. In short: we use it to do the work, we do not sell it, and you can ask to see or correct it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia, and both of us submit to the courts of Tasmania.
